Port size alone does not establish flow capacity. Check the exact model, catalogue test conditions, required flow, working pressure, drain and gauge options before ordering.
Before you specify.
Choose the air-treatment function
HDAF filters, HDAR regulators and HDAL lubricators serve different duties. HDAW combines filtration and regulation; HDAC combines a filter, regulator and lubricator. Add lubrication only when the downstream equipment requires it.
Check the complete installation
Confirm the body size, port thread, working flow and pressure, drain arrangement, bowl protection and gauge. Use the dimension drawing for the exact assembly, including space to drain and service the bowls.

Questions about HDA.
Selection, installation and care for this product range.
Which HDA components do I need?
Choose HDAF for filtration, HDAR for pressure regulation and HDAL where lubrication is required. HDAW combines filtration and regulation, while HDAC is a three-piece filter, regulator and lubricator assembly. Base the combination on the downstream equipment's air requirements. For dedicated selection tables and ordering guidance, open the HDAC, HDAW and HDAF product pages linked below.
Should I choose 5, 25 or 50 µm filtration?
HDAF is listed with a 25 µm standard element and 5 µm or 50 µm options. Match the grade to the downstream equipment's requirement, required flow and allowable pressure drop. A smaller micron number does not by itself establish oil-mist removal or drying performance.
How should I choose the drain arrangement?
Confirm how much condensate the installation produces, whether the drain is accessible and how it will discharge. Check the exact HDAF model and drain option in the catalogue; automatic drainage still needs inspection and suitable operating conditions.
Does every pneumatic circuit need an HDAL lubricator?
No. Add an HDAL lubricator only when the downstream equipment calls for oil-mist lubrication. Confirm the required oil, the exact lubricator's minimum operating flow and the equipment manufacturer's instructions before setting the oil feed.
When should I replace an HDAF filter element?
Use the service instructions for the exact housing and element, including any specified interval or pressure-drop limit. The selection catalogue does not establish one replacement interval for every installation. Send XMC the full model and existing element details to confirm the correct replacement.
